A Van for David Szwaczkowski

Many of you know Joe Szwaczkowski, who gives countless hours as a volunteer to the Silver Lake Institute. Now his family needs our community’s support.
Joe’s son, David, was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (P.P.M.S.) at just 33. In less than two years, he went from working full-time as a mechanic and raising two young daughters to being in a wheelchair and relying on his family’s daily care.
David’s wheelchair van has over 150,000 miles, severe rust, and may not pass inspection. Yet it’s his lifeline to frequent doctor visits and to time with his daughters.
We’re raising funds to pay off his current van and help secure a safer, newer one. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference.
