Help Shape the Future of Our Tree Canopy

As part of our long-term commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and the future of the Silver Lake Institute community, we are compiling a list of property owners interested in hosting a street tree within the SLI right of ways.

Trees will be provided and planted at no cost to participating residents, using funds collected through the Tree Replacement Fund.

In recent years, a number of necessary tree removals—particularly along Institute streets—have changed the character and canopy of our community. This initiative is intended to help restore that tree canopy over time, while also ensuring that replanting efforts extend beyond shared community spaces and are distributed throughout the Institute.

Species selection and planting locations will be thoughtfully determined in partnership with residents and the Grounds Committee to ensure the best fit for each property, the broader landscape, and key viewsheds.
